  4. Oral Appliances: Oral appliances, also known as mandibular advancement devices, are custom-made devices worn in the mouth during sleep. They work by repositioning the jaw and tongue to keep the airway open. These devices are often recommended for individuals with mild to moderate sleep apnea or those who cannot tolerate CPAP therapy. Oral appliances should be fitted and monitored by a dentist or orthodontist experienced in sleep medicine.
  5. Adaptive Servo-Ventilation (ASV) Devices: ASV devices are specialized machines used primarily for treating central sleep apnea (CSA) or complex sleep apnea syndrome. They continuously monitor the individual's breathing patterns and deliver pressurized air in a way that helps stabilize breathing and normalize respiratory rates. ASV devices are typically recommended for individuals with heart failure or other conditions associated with CSA.

It's important to note that the use of sleep apnea devices should be prescribed by a healthcare professional after a thorough evaluation and diagnosis. The appropriate device and settings depend on the severity of sleep apnea, the individual's specific needs, and their comfort. Regular follow-up appointments are often necessary to ensure the effectiveness of the device and make any necessary adjustments.
